With Thanksgiving right around the corner, we have been having many discussions and activities surrounding Thanksgiving this week. On Monday our class attended Thanksgiving Mass at Our Lady of Fatima Church with the whole school. We read some books about Thanksgiving:
And Learned a Thanksgiving Prayer:
(sung to the tune of Twinkle Twinkle Little Star)
I am thankful for my mother,
and I am thankful for my dad
I am thankful for my sisters,
and for all the fun we have had
I am thankful for my brothers.
Many thanks on Thanksgiving.
We also did some Thanksgiving Crafts!
We also had a group discussion about why we are thankful and who we are thankful for, and here are some of the ideas we came up with:
We continued with our Apple Inquiry, discussing different things that we can make with apples.
And then we made some of these yummy treats! We learned how to make apples sauce and apple crisp!
On Tuesday we went on a nature walk and collected some fall materials like leaves, sticks and pine cones!
We then used the materials we found at our art table.
In French we learned another fall song : "La Valse de L'automne"
With Helping Hands we are Growing Together in Unity.
