This week we have been talking about the meaning behind Holy Week and Easter. We talked about how Jesus died on the cross for us and his resurrection on Easter Sunday. The children each got their own colouring book highlighting the events that occurred during Holy Week.
The children were able to participate in many play centers and table top activities that were related to Easter.
On Wednesday we got to watch a wonderful play from MASC and Salamander Theatre. The play was called "A world of Stories" and was about popular childrens stories from different countries around the world (like Korea, Africa and England!) The children really enjoyed the show!
One of our learning centers this week involved rainbow dying of chickpeas. The rainbow chickpeas were placed in our sensory sensory center and the children used our classroom scale to compare weight and mass.
Have a Happy Easter!
