Our week has been filled with Halloween Activities! We continued to explore our Pumpkin Patch in our dramatic play area, we made some fun Halloween crafts and learned more Halloween songs.
The students loved dancing to this song and getting the chance to move their bones!
A new spooky French song was introduced, along with the words: sorciere, fantome, vampire, et nuit.
The children begin each day with weekly table top activities. This week we worked on our fine motors skills, counting and number recognition and matching upper and lower case letters. This is a great way to warm up our brains and get ready for more learning!
We finished our Pumpkin Inquiry by making our yummy pumpkin cookies!
On Thursday we were lucky to have a visit from the Librarian from the Public Library. She read us some Halloween books and sang some Halloween songs. On Friday we had a fun filled day! In the morning the children put their raffle tickets in to try and win their favourite decorated pumpkin (Congratulations to Christopher on winning his pick!). In the afternoon we had Buddy Day. The children got to choose which room they wanted to play in (Kindergarten A, B or C) and each class had different activities for the children to participate in. It is also a nice way for them to play with friends from other classes!
Here are some more pictures from our week. Have a safe and happy Halloween!
